Authenticated memory corruption via oversized chkHz parameter
Published Sep 4, 2024 · Updated Sep 4, 2024
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda FH1201 Firmware 1.2.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to crash its HTTP service via a crafted request. The formWrlExtraGet handler accepts the chkHz value at /goform/WrlExtraGet without a length check, so an oversized value overwrites stack storage. Access requires low privileges from an adjacent network; the public proof of concept demonstrates service failure, not code execution.
