Browser script execution via stored Discussion content
Published Sep 11, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Stored XSS in Perfex CRM 1.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user’s browser through a Discussion comment. The add_comment endpoint stores the submitted content parameter without neutralizing executable markup before the Discussion view renders it. Exploitation requires a valid account and a second user to view the poisoned comment, where the script runs with the application origin’s access to that user’s browser session.
