Unauthenticated database disclosure via login SQL injection
Published Sep 6, 2024 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
SQL injection in RapidCMS 1.3.1 allows remote attackers to read database data through the username field in the login endpoint. The /resource/runlogin.php handler uses the supplied username in a password-selection query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling blind extraction through DNS callbacks. No authentication or user interaction is required; a network-reachable login page exposes stored database values, while further effects depend on database privileges.
