Stored XSS via unescaped Advanced Text block link
Published May 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in StellarWP Kadence Blocks 3.2.36 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through an Advanced Text block link. The Advanced Heading renderer places the user-controlled link attribute into an anchor href without adequate URL sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the block; the script runs in the browser of anyone who opens the resulting page.
