Client-side script execution via unescaped error description
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Reflected XSS in PicUploader commit fcf82ea allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts through error_description. OnedriveRedirect.php passes the parameter directly to PHP's echo operation without encoding or filtering it for an HTML response. A victim must follow a crafted URL; the injected markup then runs in that browser under PicUploader's origin, enabling page-data access or modification.
