Unauthenticated script execution via unescaped password logs
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in oneTarek WP Logs Book 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser. The plugin stores an unauthenticated login password in its failed-login log and renders that value in the login-attack dashboard without sanitizing or escaping it. Execution occurs when an administrator opens the affected log view, giving the script access to the administrator's authenticated WordPress origin.
