Log deletion via nonce-free admin request
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in oneTarek WP Logs Book 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete plugin logs via a forged request. The login-attack and 404-error log-clearing handlers accept the clear_log POST action without validating a CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, after which the forged request deletes security-relevant logs.
