Unauthenticated database compromise via login SQL injection
Published Sep 5, 2024 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodeHero Event Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data through the admin login. In /event/admin/login.php, the POST username value reaches a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean-, error-, and time-based payloads. Authentication is not required; successful exploitation exposes the eventdb database to direct reading and modification through the public login request.
