Authenticated report tampering via unenforced access restriction
Published Sep 11, 2024 · Updated Sep 20, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Nozomi Networks Guardian and CMC before 24.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter report settings. The Reports section accepts a crafted application request from users with reporting privileges without enforcing the restriction that prevents configuration changes. A reporting-enabled instance is required; changes can misroute reports, disclose report data, interrupt delivery, or send SMTP credentials to an attacker-controlled server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
