Memory corruption via oversized IPTV parameter
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1806 Firmware 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted IPTV setting. The setIptvInfo function fails to bound the adv.iptv.stbpvid value before writing it into a stack buffer. The request must reach the router from an adjacent network and requires no authentication or user interaction; exploitation can crash the service or alter execution.
