Firmware compromise via unchecked IPTV VLAN copy
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1806 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to overwrite stack memory via an IPTV VLAN value. The setIptvInfo function copies the iptv.city.vlan parameter into a stack buffer without adequate bounds checking. An unauthenticated network request can corrupt memory, interrupt routing, or obtain firmware-level control.
