Stored XSS via unescaped statistics item
Published May 24, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in YITH WooCommerce Ajax Search 2.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through the item parameter. The administrative search-statistics list table renders the stored item value without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. No authentication is required to plant the payload; the script runs when a user opens the injected page and can access data or alter content within that page context.
