CVE-2024-4449Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped widget attributes

Published May 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in six Essential Addons for Elementor widgets through 5.9.19 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. Fancy Text, Filter Gallery, Sticky Video, Content Ticker, Woo Product Gallery, and Twitter Feed retain user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and emit them without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store a crafted widget on a page; viewing that page then executes the injected script in the visitor's browser context.
