CVE-2024-44466Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via iface injection

Published Sep 11, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2024

Command injection in COMFAST CF-XR11 firmware 2.7.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted POST request. The sub_424CB4 handler places the iface value obtained by /usr/bin/webmgnt into the first substitution slot of a sed command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation runs commands with the web management service's privileges.
