Authenticated OS command execution via unsanitized cmd parameter
Published Oct 11, 2024 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Command injection in Shenzhen WayOS FBM-292W firmware 21.03.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through HTTP. In sub_4901E0 for msp_info.htm, httpd_get_parm accepts the cmd value, sprintf concatenates it into v21, and system executes the resulting string without validation. A valid administrative session is required; successful exploitation runs supplied commands with the router service's privileges and can compromise the appliance.
