CVE-2024-44413Public exploit

Unauthenticated command execution via unfiltered path parameter

Published Oct 11, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

Command injection in D-Link DI-8200 Firmware 16.07.26A1 allows remote attackers to execute commands via the path parameter. The endpoint copies path with strcpy, accepts an http:// prefix, formats it into a shell command with sprintf, and passes it to system without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access but no authentication or user interaction, and commands run in the firmware web-service context.
