Remote command execution via unsanitized DHCP static list
Published Aug 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
OS command injection in D-Link DIR-846W Firmware A1 FW100A43 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted POST request. The firmware passes the lan(0)_dhcps_staticlist value into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Public assessments disagree on authentication: NVD rates the path as unauthenticated, while CISA-ADP requires low privileges; successful injection grants command execution on the router.
