CVE-2024-44334Public exploit

Authenticated command execution via path filter bypass

Published Sep 9, 2024 · Updated Sep 9, 2024

Command injection in affected D-Link DI-7000-series firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through crafted requests. The upgrade_filter.asp handler passes the path parameter to system after a limited character filter that permits backtick command substitution. Access to the management interface and valid administrator credentials is required, after which injected commands run with the firmware's highest shell privileges.
