Originating IP disclosure via misrouted Reading List requests
Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Information disclosure in Apple Safari before 18.2 allows remote attackers to learn the device's originating IP address. Safari routes a Reading List request to the destination website without preserving Private Relay's origin-masking path. Exposure requires Private Relay to be enabled and a user to add the website to Reading List; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
