Improper bounds checking in AppleAVD in affected Apple operating systems allows attackers to terminate the system by parsing a crafted video file. Apple has disclosed only that AppleAVD applies insufficient bounds checks while parsing untrusted video data; no lower-level locus is public. Exploitation requires the target to parse a malicious video, and the reported consequence is system termination without disclosed data exposure or code execution.
