Cross-origin cookie transmission via state mismanagement
Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Origin validation error in Apple WebKit before the October 2024 releases allows remote attackers to send cookies to a different origin. Apple identifies cookie state management as the faulty locus but has not published the incorrect state transition or validation sequence. Network access requires no privileges or user interaction; the documented consequence is limited to cross-origin cookie transmission.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
