CVE-2024-44199

Kernel-memory disclosure or system termination via bounds failure

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in IOMobileFrameBuffer in Apple macOS before 14.6 allows local users to read kernel memory or terminate the system. The component performs an out-of-bounds read because it inadequately validates input supplied by an app. A locally run app with low privileges is required; successful triggering can disclose kernel memory or terminate the host.
