Out-of-bounds access in Apple ImageIO allows context-dependent attackers to interrupt image processing through a crafted image. ImageIO accesses data beyond a valid boundary while processing attacker-controlled image data because the affected bounds check is insufficient. An affected application or service must process the image; Apple reports denial of service only and does not disclose whether the result is a hang or crash.
