Improper state management in Apple iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS allows physically proximate attackers to control nearby devices from a locked device. The Accessibility component fails to maintain the required authorization state for Control Nearby Devices; Apple has not disclosed the affected routine or state transition. Affected releases include iOS and iPadOS before 17.7 or 18 and watchOS before 11, and exploitation requires direct physical access to the locked device.
