Sensitive-data disclosure via insufficient log redaction
Published Sep 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Information disclosure in System Settings in Apple macOS before 13.7, 14.7, or 15 allows local users to read sensitive log data. System Settings writes user-sensitive data into log entries without adequate private-data redaction. A locally running app is required, and exposure is limited to the confidentiality of data present in affected logs.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
