Authenticated record deletion via missing authorization check
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024
Missing authorization in SAP for Oil & Gas affected releases allows remote authenticated users to delete non-sensitive user-table entries. A remote-enabled function deletes entries without checking whether the caller has the required authorization, but SAP has not publicly named the function or table. Non-administrative credentials are required, and the consequence is limited to record deletion without confidentiality or availability loss.
