Local privilege escalation via authentication spoofing
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 12, 2025
Authentication bypass in Ivanti Workspace Control before 2025.2 (10.19.0.0) allows local authenticated users to escalate privileges. Ivanti identifies an incorrectly implemented authentication scheme in the management console that accepts spoofed authentication, but publishes no finer-grained implementation locus. Access to a local authenticated session is required, and successful exploitation grants higher privileges on the affected system.
