Unauthenticated internal requests via unvalidated download path
Published May 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Server-side request forgery in the CAS WordPress theme 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to send requests to chosen URLs. The public download.php endpoint passes its unauthenticated path parameter into an outbound request without validating the destination. A crafted request can make the WordPress server reach loopback or other network-accessible resources, but the public record does not document response handling or further impact.
