Page-cache flushing via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 2, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Till Krüss Email Address Encoder 1.0.23 and earlier allows remote attackers to flush page caches. The eae_clear_caches() function processes a cache-flush request without validating a WordPress nonce before invoking supported cache plugins. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow a crafted link, causing cache eviction and performance degradation rather than deletion of site content or configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
