Unauthorized display-type changes via missing capability check
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in YARPP 5.30.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to change display types through a crafted HTTP request. The directly reachable includes/yarpp_pro_set_display_types.php script accepts attacker-controlled types[] values after ypsdt=false bypasses its initial check, without a capability check. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is limited to changing the plugin's display-type configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
