Local kernel crash via unguarded gamut callback
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Linux 4.15 through 6.10.4 allows local users to crash the kernel by reading an AMD display debug log. The dcn10_log_color_state path invokes the uninitialized DCN401 gamut_remap callback without checking whether the function exists. Reaching the fault requires DCN401 AMD display hardware and read access to the debugfs file, which is root-only by default; the resulting kernel oops can interrupt the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
