Authenticated arbitrary file upload via missing type validation
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Averta Depicter 3.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place arbitrary files on the server. The FileUploaderService uploadFile function accepts a supplied file without validating its type before storing it on the WordPress host. Contributor-level access is required, and code execution depends on the uploaded file being placed where the web server interprets it as code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
