Out-of-bounds kernel access via mismatched array index
Published Aug 17, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Out-of-bounds array access in the Linux kernel rtw89 driver allows local users to read outside an array through debug statistics. rtw89_sta_info_get_iter() bounds-checks status->he_gi but indexes the he_gi array with unchecked rate->he_gi instead. Reachability requires local access to a kernel using the Realtek rtw89 driver; public records establish the invalid access but not a reliable higher-level exploit outcome.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
