Remote code execution via unchecked login redirect
Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Reflected XSS in OpenC3 COSMOS Open Source Edition before 5.19.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a login link. Login.vue decodes the redirect query parameter and assigns it unchecked to window.location, making a javascript URL executable. A user who can reach the instance must follow the crafted link and sign in; code in that session can invoke the script-runner API for server-side command execution.
