CVE-2024-43763

Adjacent service interruption via empty GATT response

Published Jan 21, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Denial of service in Android 12, 12L, 13, 14, and 15 allows remote attackers to interrupt Bluetooth service via an adjacent GATT request. The Bluetooth stack's build_read_multi_rsp function stops processing when the first characteristic has a zero-length value and returns an empty response packet instead of encoding the value length. Exploitation requires Bluetooth proximity but no authentication, execution privileges, or user interaction; the published impact is limited to service interruption.
