CVE-2024-43759

Application crash via NULL pointer dereference

Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024

NULL pointer dereference in Adobe Illustrator 28.6, 27.9.5 and earlier allows attackers to crash the application via a malicious file. Adobe has not published the affected parser, file format, or specific code path that dereferences the null pointer while processing untrusted file content. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted file, and the documented consequence is interruption of the Illustrator process without reported data disclosure or code execution.
