CVE-2024-43756

Code execution via malicious file heap overflow

Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Heap overflow in Adobe Photoshop 2023 24.7.4 and earlier and 2024 25.11 and earlier allows local users to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe identifies neither the affected file parser nor the operation that overruns the heap buffer, leaving the lower-level mechanism undisclosed. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted file, and resulting code runs with that victim's current-user privileges.
