Stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published May 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Detheme DethemeKit for Elementor 2.1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via widgets. Multiple widget render paths accept user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and emit them into page output without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store a payload, which executes in a visitor's browser whenever the affected page is opened.
