Browser-session script execution via unsafe DOM update
Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Dec 11, 2024
DOM-based XSS in Adobe Experience Manager 6.5.21 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim's browser session. Client-side page logic places attacker-controlled URL or user-input data into the DOM without safely neutralizing it, causing injected script to run when the page renders. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and victim interaction with the crafted input; the resulting script can read or alter browser-session data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
