CVE-2024-43683Network attack vector

Authenticated-user redirection via unverified Host header

Published Oct 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 1, 2024

Open redirect in the TimeProvider 4100 web front-end before 2.4.7 allows remote attackers to redirect authenticated users. The front-end accepts an untrusted HTTP Host header without proper verification and uses it to direct the user's browser to an attacker-chosen site. Exploitation requires a logged-in user and access to the WebGUI on its physically separate management port; timing-service ports are unaffected.
