CVE-2024-4367Public exploitNetwork attack vector

JavaScript execution via untyped FontMatrix glyph compilation

Published May 14, 2024 · Updated May 12, 2026

Code injection in PDF.js in Firefox, Firefox ESR, Thunderbird, and Teamcenter allows attackers to run JavaScript via a crafted PDF. FontFaceObject.getPathGenerator joins unvalidated Type 1 FontMatrix values into source passed to the Function constructor during glyph compilation. Rendering the PDF reaches the flaw when evaluation is enabled, its default; affected releases precede Firefox 126, Firefox ESR and Thunderbird 115.11, Teamcenter V2312.0009, or V2406.0006.
