Authenticated file upload via unrestricted CGI binaries
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Iocharger AC firmware before 24120701 allows remote authenticated users to write files to temporary directories. Two undisclosed CGI binaries accept uploads from any authenticated account and write them to /tmp/upload/ or /tmp without enforcing the UI's iocadmin restriction. A low-privilege account and knowledge of a hidden endpoint are required; uploaded files cannot be accessed or used without another vulnerability.
