CVE-2024-43661Network attack vector

Persistent OCPP service crash via certificate-path overflow

Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Iocharger Firmware for AC Models before 24120701 allows remote authenticated users to crash its OCPP service. The redacted shared library reads a certificate-deletion path written by a CGI action or shell script without safely bounding the path length. A low-privilege account and network access to the web interface are required; the persisted path repeatedly crashes the restarted process, leaving the service unrecoverable by the user.
