Root code execution via authenticated command injection
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
OS command injection in Iocharger firmware for AC models before 24120701 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The CNA redacts the affected binary and action but confirms that the action fails to neutralize special elements before invoking an OS command. A low-privilege account, or a user with such access who submits the request, is required; successful exploitation permits arbitrary changes to files and services on the charger.
