Use-after-free in Windows SMB on affected Windows 11 and Windows Server builds allows remote attackers to crash the system over a network. Microsoft identifies the weakness as use-after-free but has not disclosed the responsible SMB routine, object-lifetime error, or triggering request sequence. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation interrupts service by crashing the affected Windows system.
