Stored XSS via unescaped button widget attributes
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Qode Interactive Qi Addons for Elementor 1.7.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject web scripts. The Button and Info Button widget renderers accept user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization or contextual output escaping, storing attacker-controlled markup in page content. Contributor-level access is required, and the script executes in the browser of anyone who opens the affected page, enabling actions and data access within that visitor's WordPress session.
