Sensitive-information disclosure through crafted files
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Information disclosure in Microsoft Office allows remote attackers to access sensitive data after a user opens a specially crafted file. Microsoft has not published the affected component or the operation that causes the crafted file to produce the spoofing condition. Exploitation requires a user to follow an attacker-supplied link and open the file; the reported consequence is limited to confidentiality.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
