CVE-2024-43571Public exploit

Console I/O interception via unauthenticated RPC server

Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2026

Spoofing in Sudo for Windows 11 version 24H2 before 10.0.26100.2033 allows local users to intercept another user's console I/O. The client connects to a predictable sudo_elevate_$CLIENTPID RPC socket without authenticating the server, allowing a fake server to win the UAC-delay race. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and a victim to approve a Sudo UAC prompt; the attacker can read standard input or alter standard output.
