Subscriber-level visitor data disclosure via unchecked AJAX handler
Published May 30, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Block Bad Bots 10.23 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to expose stored visitor data via AJAX. The stopbadbots_get_ajax_data() handler returns visitor records without checking whether the requesting account has an authorized capability. Any subscriber-level account can reach the handler, limiting the reported consequence to confidentiality loss of visitor data.
