Unauthenticated denial of service via undisclosed SCEP flaw
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Denial of service in Microsoft Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol allows remote attackers to interrupt affected Windows Servers. Microsoft has not published the affected code path, crafted-input condition, or whether exhaustion causes a hang, crash, or other interruption. Network reachability is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and confidentiality and integrity are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0.17763.0 <10.0.17763.6414

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
